I agree that our society is filled with manipulated tactics, and that business advertisements claim “free” products or services just to get our attention. According to Maasik and Solomon in all of their writings in the book Signs of Life in the USA they state that all advertisements are made to attract a certain group of people whether it is kids, men, or women. All are being manipulated by the advertisements in some way. For advertisements to claim something as “free” it is just manipulating all ages and all people to come and check out their products. Also it is very agreeable that if we are manipulated and we find out about it we will lose trust for the company or product. If they were honest to us in their commercials I think that it will be easier for us as consumers to trust the product they are trying to sell.

Our mockingbirds do the same thing; in fact, they also sing at night sometimes.

It does become inspirational.

Hello Inta! I think I've read enough of your blog to feel confident that you are my old friend from high school back in Illinois. I think it was the "I grew up in Chicagoland" that clinched it. No one says Chicagoland anymore!

I have a blog, but I have been away from it for quite a while. It's more of a photoblog, as the photography is my passion and my art.

I love your writing. I have some great old photos I could share with you!

Your old friend,
Susie
